When the old floor can’t be saved in Nollamara
Most post-war Nollamara homes were built with timber floors, and many can be restored. But some have been patched too many times, damaged by old leaks or partly replaced with sheet flooring over the years. When that happens, timber flooring in Nollamara means laying a new floor that still suits the age and style of the home.
New solid timber is laid, sanded and coated on site, so it can be finished in a sheen and tone that feels right in an older house. Narrower boards and warm finishes tend to suit post-war homes better than very wide, modern planks. We’ll help you choose a look that fits.
If the existing boards are sound enough, we may suggest restoring them instead – it’s usually better value. We’ll give you an honest recommendation.
